Sawyers Close Community Spirit Day

On Saturday 27th August Residents off Sawyers Close along with Radian, The Mayor and local agencies like Police, Community Safety Team, Red Cross and RBWM environmental health team came together to have a fun packed day in Dedworth, Sawyers Close, the event was to raise awareness of Anti social behaviour.

It was a great day enjoyed by all residents of Sawyers Close. There was a BBQ put on by the Sawyers Close Resident Association which went down a treat.The activities were very popular by all the children especially the graffiti workshop and treasure hunt which was relating to eight anti-social activities to be avoided which was organised by Michelle Simmonds the Community Safety Warden.

Radian staff attended the event, Neighbourhood Officer, Duncan Holden and Community Development Team Leader Rachel Salter.

Duncan said “It was a great day and was enjoyed by all residents especially children– there was a real community spirit and Sawyers Close Residents Association should be really proud of such a fantastic event!"
