Community Involvement - our vision
Involving our residents is a big part of our work to improve what we do. By 2014 we want the Community Involvement team to be known locally and nationally as a centre of excellence for giving our customers a voice
To achieve this we are planning to give more opportunities for you to have a say in how we provide, run and keep check on our services. To make this happen, we will need all our staff to contribute, but it will be led by the Community Involvement team. Set out below is an introduction to the team and their key roles and objectives.
What is Community Involvement all about?
Our team works closely with Radian’s residents. We ensure that residents are involved in shaping the services Radian delivers. This can be in small ways, like encouraging residents to be a part of walkabouts so they can let us know about issues they may be having in their homes and communities. Or in bigger ways, like Area Panel members who scrutinise the performance of our services and work with staff to devise local offers that improve performance.
Our team also works closely with communities. We deliver and facilitate projects that tackle and prevent local issues faced by Radian’s communities; such as unemployment, community safety or community cohesion. We are here to make sure that customers are not just safe and happy in their houses, but within their communities. We can help residents access funding so that they can improve their lives, their communities and their surroundings.
We don’t do this alone – we work with teams across Radian to make this happen. Thank you to all of the teams we work with – we are proud to work with you to empower Radian residents and build strong, happy communities where our customers and our staff can flourish.
Making a difference to where residents live
The Community Involvement team are currently recruiting for residents to get involved in a number of areas from Estate Walkabouts, Resident Associations & Groups, to Area Panels and the Bright Ideas scheme.
A resident can be as involved as the wish to be: whether they only have a little time like as long as it takes to enjoy some tea and cake; or if they have a little extra time – as long as it takes to wash a car; and finally lots of time – as long as it takes to roast a chicken.
We are keen to hear from residents of all ages, cultures and backgrounds!
