Youth Service Summer Activities



If you are between the ages of eight and 18 there is a range of activities provided by the youth service over the summer holidays. There are nine Youth Service Youth Centres across the borough, located in:

Maidenhead

Cox Green

Pinkneys Green

Windsor

Dedworth

Ascot/Sunningdale

Old Windsor

Datchet

Eton Wick

As well as four projects that young people can get involved with: Duke of Edinburgh Awards, Outdoor Education Project, Get Active Rangers and the Youth Participation Project; the Youth Service also offers advice and support drop-in sessions for young people through the Intensive Service.

Eight to 19-year-olds and adults up to 25 with learning disabilities are able to participate in the variety of activities, projects and services on offer. These include:

Youth centre-based activities including:

Pool, Wii and table tennis

Arts, culture and sports

IT workshops

DJ and photography workshops

Links with other organisations

Opportunity to be involved in decision-making groups

Opportunity to volunteer & Duke of Edinburgh Award

Overnight trips including camping and visits to activity centres (including Thorpe Park for 2011).
